Might End Up Selling the 67...
Yep guys, I found another 67 in great condition and I may end up selling mine to get it. I would just like to know if you guys think I could get the 1500.00 I paid for back out of it. I've done some work to it and all, just want my money back. Has new tires, hoses, back half of frame is painted, will come with 3" lowering coils for front and a cab corner. New rear coils will also come with it. I'd just like to know if there's any interest in it. It would run with a new carb, will occassionally crank if you give it a little love though. Anyone interested and think I can get my money back?
P.S. If all goes as planned I'll be having a new truck to show off. A link to my truck is in my sig so go and take a look at it and the work I've done. Thanks, Dylan

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
How much do you have invested on your truck? Parts/initial price/etc. Also how much is the nice one you found? Pics?
Is one of these the truck you found? Just had to check CL. http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/cto/944107476.html http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/cto/939681218.html

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
Yeah, the first one is the one I found. I've got over 500.00 invested in mine to this date and don't want any of that back out of it. I just want what I initially payed for it. I really really want this truck, so I'm looking to work it out any way I can to get it.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
Just remember, its easier to replace and repaint a fender than an entire "fiberglass" front end. I personally would go for the second one. It seems like a better deal.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
If it isn't running right now, and I don't see from your post that it is.....well, you should get it to the point that it will crank from the seat. You can talk 'til your blue in the face about how good it runs, but not being able to hear it run and/or drive it, will work against you as you try to sell it in the current economy.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
only one time did I get my money back from a truck, especially a project, some people are just better at budgeting than me, or pay less to get started..
good luck, maybe he would be willing to trade?

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
I KINDA like the one you got already the best, but you should be able to get the 1500 or close pretty reasonably as long as it runs

I would stay with E.P. if i were you. I prefer SWB over LWB as well.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
Is that first truck a longbed?
Personally, I would keep what you have now. The body looks straight enough to me. That's my opinion, but I could be biased for some reason .

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
I may keep it, it depends on if that truck is a longbed, I forgot to ask that when I called. Looking at it now, it looks like it may be a longbed. Not sure though, my dads going to look at it tomorrow so I'll go from there.

He told us about it. He posted a link to his build thread with pictures and more info. What else could you need?

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
Dylan,
Empty pockets is a nice looking truck. I like it better than the first truck on CL. In my opinion I would keep EP and work out the bugs if any. You already got some history with it, keep it going. I am sure later on down the road, you will come up on a better deal on a truck and you may be able add to your collection versus replacing. Thats just my 2 cents.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
Looks like a longbed in that pic to me. That truck would scare me a little because you just don't know what you are getting under all that primer. At least you know what you have now.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
I seen EP (I almost bought it) , and it seems to me that you have a better than the one in that Craiglist ad. It is defintely a LWB. The only advantage I can see it has over your's is a V8, and that's an easy fix.
How far do you live from Moultrie?

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
I only live two hours south of Moultrie, so not that far, just basically two hours south give or take a little east or west. I'm more than likely going to end up keeping this one since that one is a LWB. I don't do LWB's so this one I have now is staying. Going to have a lot more updates for you guys on my build by new years so stay tuned guys.

Re: Might End Up Selling the 67...
I'm keeping it for now, but if the time arises where I do decide to sell it you'll be first on the list!
