I am seeing light (thru the floor pan) while under the truck
This can't be good! Perhaps another polished terd? I think so.
So I am working on the rear frame, finishing up the boxing in of it, when one of the tools rolled under the cab. I went under to get it, started looking around at the floor, you know, dreaming of what I am going to do next. I think we all do this from time to time.( Part of the fun) Apparently, while I was hammering on the frame in the back, the junk falling off the cab from underneath uncovered a larger scale problem. I was poking around while looking at the floor, and found the fuel tank bottom and seat belt?? This was not the light I wanted to see at the end of the tunnel! So now my question to everyone is; Has anyone replaced the full floor pan? It appears that the reinforcement in the rear, beneath the tank has had it. As well, the front foot wells are shot. This I knew, the back is my surprise for this week. So in replacing the full floor, besides taking the cab from the frame, how do you get started? The first truck was in much better shape than this one when I started it. Prostreet 72 |

been there done that...there are a few floor installs already...
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=311224&page=2 and mine in my build thread... very easy to do and well worth it... Tri-pro automotive has them for $359 right now I think... FYI I had a larger hole under my gas tank and I was able to pull my seatbelt out of the floor with my bare hands!
