Aeroquip socketless hose
Anyone using this set up for high pressure fuel? I have some left over from a different project used as low pressure oil line. Company specs this at 250 PSI. Socketless makes me a little nervous. Any thoughts?

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
u would have to tell us exactly which hose you are using. Some of it may not have a lining that is suitable for gasoline.
Probably the best thing to do is to go into the catalog or check the online catalog and see if the hose is suited for gas. |

On a side note, I've actually been through Toppenish. I had an old friend that lived in Sunnyside...... Ever heard of the Farming Game?

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
Yes I have. I haven't bought one yet though.
If they say it is good to go with gas I don't see why you couldn't use it. Yep, it's getting harder to hide from anyone around here. |

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
I have -8 Aqip for a supply and a return line. My pump puts out over 30 psi till it hit reg. So you should be fine. i believe all Aqip is oil/gas compatible.

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
Thanks Hoosier smoker. My mind is a little more at ease. It just wierd pushing a hose onto a barbed fitting without a clamp/socket and stepping back and thinking, yeah, thats good for 100 psi gas!

I know, odd if the dang fuel injected guys running Boost can get away with it we are way in the green. I guess that's why its called Aeroquip. its Aero space knowledge.

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
socketless is fine for high pressure EFI. I have used it many times with EFI. Socketless is some tough stuff. Lots of diesel guy use it all the time.

Re: Aeroquip socketless hose
Have not heard of it as "socketless". We, in the forklift business and I'm sure there's others, use what's called "push-loc" hose. Sounds like the same stuff, just different name? Works real good for low pressure (0-250 psi). Just my $.02.
