front axle casting #s

I got some casting #s off a 10 bolt front. trying to figure out the gear ratio.... These are casting numbers from the underside of the pumpkin on the inside.

14030876
6
3

Are these the right numbers I think its an 8 but might be a 6 or a 3.

Thanks! if anyone has a website that I can look these up myself that would be great.

Re: front axle casting #s

there will be a metal tag with the ratio attached to the cover. or you will need to spin the wheel a couple turns and count the driveshaft. casting numbers wont tell you the ratio.

I am not sure but I would guess those numbers are the stamping for the Bill Of Materials (BOM).

Is there an easy way to decode that? With dana axles, you can just plug the #s into their website.

It would be easiest to unbolt the diff cover and see what is stamped into the side of the ring gear.
