I've been looking for a good deal on a grill for my truck since i got my first square body 5 years ago... last week i was browsing ebay and found a good deal on a phantom grill and the guy didnt want a hundred plus bucks for shipping. I found this one for $120 shipped!

Old Grill:

Out With The Old:

For the turn signals it had pretty vauge instructions on what needs to be trimmed so i cut both mounting tabs off:

Mounting on the new grill was easy after the tabs are cut off. the grill has a hold down tab and the you run a screw into the bottom on the turn signal housing. I did have to bend the tabs a little for a snug fit:

The grill itself mounts just like the stock one, only its got just 3 screws on the top and 2 you have to put in from the bottom.

Those are nice looking grilles,hows the ride quality with your hacked springs and shackles?Did you add new shocks?Any alignment problems?

Its not a bad ride but who ever did it didnt cut them even... but those are getting pulled out in january when i lower the truck and rebuild the front end

i like the grill. i am still thinking of some diffrent for my short crew. how about the chrome on the hood are you keeping it?

yeah i like the chrome strip on the hood, it will stay on until i get ready for paint.

Tony_SS: you can still buy them new if you want to spend around 200-400 bucks on one lol. the guy i bought mine from has 2 more on ebay

idk but there all over when i look on ebay for 75-150$.. maybe im looking at a differnt brand or something but its a phantom grill that goes all the way across and looks the same?

you may find one for 75 bucks on ebay but look at the shipping... most of them want over a hundred bucks just for the shipping

Nice score. I'm looking to buy the same grille after i fix the real problems in my truck. Any more pictures of the install? I'll be putting it on my 90 suburban square body. How about those blackout lenses?

sorry thats all i got for install pics...

yeah i need to fix the brake booster and the steering box before i can trust driving it lol

the blacked out lenses are just stock one sprayed with vht nightshades i got from jegs
