6 to 5 lug swap
I have a '69 chasis that I am swapping the 6 lug with a '72 disc brake 5 lug set up. Is it necessary to swap the cross member, or will the '72 control arns fit the '69 crossmember??

Re: 6 to 5 lug swap
I'm quite certain you can swap the arms to the existing crossmember. Then just swap the draglink, tie-rods, etc. and you'll be good to go.

Re: 6 to 5 lug swap
if you dont have a motor in the truck just change the whole thing.... it should bolt right in.

Re: 6 to 5 lug swap
if no motor, i would swap the whole cross member, not much more work. if you dont , you will have to drill the xmember to run and bolt the brake lines down as they run different.
