can i...

remove the front suspension crossmember on my 73 C10 with out it causing any problems?? my truck is totally painted and all the panels are aligned but now i want to clean up the crossmember and paint everything ( i know i should done it before paint). I figured I would put the truck on jackstands under the cab and the frame by the radiator ofcourse also the rear of the frame. so willthis work without any problems?

Re: can i...

you`ll need to have the engine out before you can do it but it`s not a big deal to leave your sheet metal on.

Re: can i...

You can unbolt it, but if you take it apart, I will still get the alignment checked. Bag and label EVERYTHING.
