Curious question,If I wanted to swap my 2 seperate chairs up front for a bench seat, would a factory bench seat bolt in the same place,or are they located differently?

Re: seats

It would be a bench preferably out of another suburban or blazer.

Re: seats

You need bench seat tracks out of a suburban or the front of a crew cab.
the bucket seat tracks will not bolt to the bench seat in the back
A bench seat out of a regular cab truck will have the wrong tracks too.

But couldn't you utilize the outer 2 seat brackets from each bucket seat with a linkage wire between them to connect the slider release mechanisms?

Re: seats

No....the seat tracks will bolt to the floor correctly but they will not bolt to the bench seat correctly..they are too short you will only be able to get the front bolt in the seat and the rear bolt will not line up.

bucket seat tracks mount to the seat in two spots.
bench seat track bolt to the bench seat in three spots.

Re: seats

But,if I had the bench seat tracks, they would bolt up in the same holes that are already there?

Re: seats

If they are from a suburban or from the front seat of a crew cab truck than yes.

Thats it.Blazers, reg cab trucks, rear seats of crew cabs all are different floors.
