What did you get done? 12/14

I was out of town this week to attend a funeral. Spent the rest of the week catching up on work. Saturday spent the day at a volleyball tournament. That evening went to a corporate Christmas party.

Sunday my bro-in-law came over for a while, then worked on some Christmas decorations. Worked on a coffee table that I am giving to my nephew.

Started feeling run down so I laid down to watch TV. Crashed at 8:30 and slept in this morning.

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Nothing truck related other than using it as a truck for the first time!

Helped my daughter move her things to her apartment with her new husband after their marriage Saturday.

Now, I can relax for a while and soak all of this in. Mixed emotions!!!

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Fired up the 99 (been sitting for 6 weeks!). Still has SES and drivability issues, gonna scan tool it tonight or tomorrow. Went and got a load of drywall (for bedroom) and sheathing (for truck parts shed). Worked on framing for shed (almost ready for siding..). Set up xmas tree and put up outside lights. Got my TBI swap parts from Stump. Orded an 87 wiring manual. Started setting up all my FWD trans books to sell on eflay. Went to a choir performance including my daughters dancing. Bought a 600 vac secondary Holley to put on my $50 305.
4 days to my xmas break... boy am I looking forward to it.

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

It snowed this weekend so I had to work most of the time, but I did get the notch on the Blazer finished up and finished tuning the carb. It has SO much more power than the stock 350 had, just need to get the gear swap done hopefully this week.

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Got most of the garage cleaned out, bought a new compressor and some tools. I'm just at the preparation phase, pulling everything together (parts, tools, space). I was going to have a friend of mine do most of the work, but his business picked back up and won't have the time, so going to attempt everything with my two sons (both young adults now).

Ordered new edelbrock intake, carb, water pump and some other go fast/look good parts from Summit that should be in today. So ready to get started!

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Saturday I went up to the shop and me and the old man repaired the roof...man what a pain in the !@#...anyways, it'll be time for probably 3 or 4 sheets of plywood and new shingles come spring time...Sunday, wired up my relays for headlight upgrade and readjusted the headlights...Man what a difference...Today got up this morning, went and checked on the puppies and one had died overnight, then went to work and got a call from my mom telling me that a really close long time family friend had past away and that my brother in law got laid off...so not a good morning today at all...I just wanted to go home crawl into bed and start the day over...

Chuck.

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Spent Saturday working on a 55 Ford (car). A friend and I cut out the rusted front cross member, welded in a new one, replaced upper and lower control arms, new bushings, new gas tank/straps, new shocks and patched a hole in the floor. The 70 year old owner was smiling ear to ear, especially when we told him his labor bill was a big goose egg.

I never worked so hard to feel so good.

I use a McGaughy's bolt in notch. Actually fit better than I thought it would. You guys that can remove your beds have it made. This pic makes the frame look really crappy. It will get a frame off some day,... when I hit the lottery.

Re: What did you get done? 12/14

Sunday, I went and picked up a 74 GMC pickup with a friend of mine. I don't have any pics yet, because by the time we got back into town it had gone from being in the 60s to being in the 30s. We also got some ice lastnight and it only got up to 14degrees today with a windchill of -5.

Finished rebuilding my carb saturday, ordered all new ignition parts. Rebuilt my distributor yesterday. Next step is to sandblast and paint the manifolds, brackets and pulleys!

Decided to wire the gauges in. I still have to add more hot glue & some epoxy. I worked on my '70 VW Beetle as well.
