1979 grille moldings

What company would yall recommend to buy the four piece grille moldings(kit) for a 1979 chevy blazer. I'm looking for the best fit and finish. Has anybody ordered the lmc kit? I was not impressed with the fit of the 4 piece 81-87 kit they sell.

I have a '79 also but I want to switch to '78. I'm curious about the 'best' myself...

i'd watch ebay.i bought and sold a few nice one's.good quality original's show up from time to time.most of the after market trim is taiwan,a company named corvex.i think they make 95% of it, no matter who sell's it.and the fit alway's seem's to be so so.

Re: 1979 grille moldings

I went ahead and ordered all 4 pieces from lmc. Christmas present for my bro. He's got a 1979 2wd blazer thats in the paint shop at the moment getting shaved and painted a ford metallic charcoal. I'll post some pics when it comes out.

Re: 1979 grille moldings

On my 78 I only ordered the upper and lower grille trim strips from Classic Parts and they both are about 1/4-3/8" too short on both sides where they meet the headlight buckets. That's really irritating too because the pieces look PERFECT otherwise.

Re: 1979 grille moldings

chevyrado, the classic parts headlight buckets MAY be a little longer to make up for that 1/4". I guess aftermarket trim has its flaws. Oh, i love what you did to your interior!
