Help with 20'' wheel fitment
I am looking to buy a set of 20'' Torque Thrusts M series for my 72. I have an ECE 3.5/5 drop. I was thinking of running the 20x10 inch in the rear and the 20x8.5 up front. what im not sure of is the the backspacing.
this is a link to what im looking at. http://www.jegs.com/p/American+Racing/763970/10002/-1 Thanks! -Mark |

Re: Help with 20'' wheel fitment
On the back I would run a 5" BS. on a 20x10 (I am). On the front I would think 4.5 BS would be pretty close to you want it. Hope this helps.

They make the TT II in a 5x5. It is considered a custom build, takes several weeks build them. Try www.newstalgiawheel.com or wheelsforless.com

The best option for you to do is go to a local (reputable) wheel shop and have them help you. There's always a lot of aspects to consider when purchasing wheels, and everyones application can be different for some reason. So spending $2000+ on someone's word is not a chance I'm willing to take. If you're not stuck on the TTII's check out these wheels/tires for sale by SCOTI, a fellow board member. (LINK) Best of luck with the wheel choice!

Re: Help with 20'' wheel fitment
order the rims, they will custom build the american racing in 5 x 5 in whatever style you want, 6 weeks later you will have them. I would go to discount tires, and they can measure backspacing etc, and place the order for you....

Re: Help with 20'' wheel fitment
Just remember there are two different rearend width's on our truck. 67-70, and the wider 71-72. Some say there was a transition year in 1970,... so the '70 models could have the narrower or wider rearend. It's better to measure YOUR truck for yourself.
I like to run a 8" rim up front with a 5" or 5.25" BS (Or an 8.5" rim with a 5.75" BS) because I like them tucked under the truck. And the track width is already wider in the front than the rear.

Re: Help with 20'' wheel fitment
To me,... this is the perfect backspacing on a set of 20x8.5's and 20x10's.
This is n2billets old '68 with 255/40-20's and 295/40-20's.
