Look what you guy's made me do!!
For the last 2 months Ive been sneaking over to the 73-87 message board looking at these cool c-10 that you guy's own. So to make a long story short I sold my chevy 87 K5 blazer two weeks ago to my girlfriends father that i owned for 8 years. I was in love with that truck but I wanted it lowered, and you guys no what it takes to lower a 4x4. So I bought a 86 C-10 shortbed yesterday and drove it 600 miles back home to Miami.
I tell you that peer pressure is like a disease or something. I never like these trucks until I came over to this board. Im usually over in 47-59 message board because I'm doing a 53 GMC. Man I tell you this place is contagious THANKS!!! Pics

That might be the first big thing I do to this truck is to paint it with a dark red. Here you go!

Re: Look what you guy's made me do!!
Thanks. I originally came to this forum to figure out how to lower the blazer and noticed that it was just to much work for that kinda of truck. Then I got the shortbox bite and i think Im here to stay. Besides if you figure what I sold my blazer for 2weeks ago then I only paid $700 for the shortbox. Upgrade indeed

Re: Look what you guy's made me do!!
$1400 out of Pensacola, Fl. It has no rust or rot anywhere. It does need a paint job badly. The paint is chipped everywhere. Its got a choppy little 305 with headers and is very quick. The ac works which was unsuspected. The dash is trashed and the steering is to tight for my taste. So all in all I have a little work ahead of me. I might do a dropmember but really dont want to spend so much on air management. Right now I have my mechanic looking for a 5.3 or 6.0 Lsx to drop in. This is my daily and I dont like all this choppy stuff all the time so fuel injection it is.
Im the third owner and the guy I bought it from kept all the receipts and manuals from the original owner. It really doesnt matter for this project cause after im finished with it the only thing that will look original will be the body.

Re: Look what you guy's made me do!!
Love the truck and especially the ralleys.
Is that a 69 Impala peeking out? I love those almost as much as squares (I've owned 4 squares but only 2 '69's).

Re: Look what you guy's made me do!!
Yeah its a 69 SS 427 original. Only thing changed was new leather seats, power windows, ac, and a gear vendor on the th400. I had a extra set of rallys that came of the 69 that I put on the shortbox.

old school big body cars share the same lug pattern. Also some of the fords and chryslers.
