POR15 unwanted shine
well I painted my frame yesterday,first coat went on satin,then second coat from a different can came out shiny.Maybe I didn't mix it enough.So what's the fix?I guess paint over it.How long do I have to wait?Do I have to prime?Do I sand it down?

POR goes on shiny right out of the can. The can should have instructions of time until top coating if you want to cover it with something less shiny.

POR-15 comes in Gloss Black and Semi-Gloss Black. Maybe you had one can of each. You can topcoat it but be sure and follow the manufacturers recommendations because after POR-15 has completely cured I don't think conventional paint or primers will stick to it... LockDoc

Por 15 top coat i think thats the name it has the u v protectant has less gloss. If you got one of their product sheets with your paint it will give details about topcoating or goto their web site .

online, the only directions they supply for top coat is when it's just sprayed
