Shroud Installation?
I just found a shroud and can't figure out how to get it past the fan. The fan is a few inches away from the radiator. If I take the fan off it would work but then how do you get the fan back on?. I'm so confused!. Please help. Thanks

You will have to take off the fan. Then it is a matter of skinning your knuckles on the blades while you install the fan back on with the shroud in place. That is the way I have always done it and I can't seem to figure out an easier way. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Take the fan off, slip the shroud in place, then slide the shroud back toward the eng & bolt the fan back on. Then slide the shroud foward, & bolt it up.....

Um...???
Mine was easy (I have a SB 350). You just take the fan loose from the water pump, and take the shroud out with the fan together. Then, when you're putting them back in you have to do the same thing. The water pump pulley is kinda in the way, but you can move it around...

You should look at the size spacer you have between your fan blade and the pulley. W/O a shroud somebody may have put a longer spacer in so it was closer to the radiator. When you get the shroud on, your blade should be 50% to 60% inside the shroud to get maximum air flow. You still get the skun knuckles, no way around it unless you pull the radiator.
