Re: What is your favorite year model?
I voted 67-68 though I really like the 67 best.It has some unique features available. For instance I like the small back window and no side markers.

Re: What is your favorite year model?
Well I really like the 64-66's, but 67-68 my next favorite because of the hood and grill set up.

The only ones outside 71-72 I have ever had were quickly dismantled for parts....I've just always liked the 71-72 better

I'm partial to the '71-'72 model, but wouldn't turn any year away.

Re: What is your favorite year model?
I voted the "It didn't matter" option becouse I feel GM got it right with these trucks from the cool all metel grils and the little back windowed 67s to the updated interiors and eggcrate grills on the 72s. It was just a good looking truck with the technology at a point to where you had a good platform to build what ever you envisioned.

Re: What is your favorite year model?
It really doesn`t matter,67-72.It depends on the truck.I`d rather have an all original loaded low mile big block 69/70 shortbed than an run-of-the-mill truck from the more popular year.I`d rather have a 71/72 K-model because of the drivetrain and more options. And just like the majority,I really like the 67/68 front end.I used to be the odd man out when the majority favored the`72.I really like the small winow on a Stepside or plain jane Fleetside base model for that vintage look. The panoramic glass gives a car-like look with a more open cab with full view. When it comes to GMCs,they barely differ in appearance from 67-72 I like them all about the same.I like the look of both hoods. That slope on 67/68s gives a more aerodynamic look. But to me,sometimes I like the stout look of the 69/72.It accentuates the stout yet rounded look that people love.I never realized the hoods were any different until these truck became classic status and you started seeing multiples in shows.I just focused on the grille and like that it`s all body work with openings instead of the whole front end being trim.Although I`ve always liked this style truck and have had one since`73,I never looked so hard at them until about 20 some years ago.

Great way to state it Special K and it's pretty much the way I see it too. ! I remember many guys did not like the 67 when they came out and thought the truck looked like a Studebaker truck,, not any more though and not even do I think that . . I remember when the big window made all the differnce when buying a new one . Big window was good ,,little window was bad.. I remember when I bought my short boxes back then a lot of people frowned on them and thought it was a waste of truck to buy a classy looking truck with no bed to haul much..I know I look at them differently now that I am older and I suppose they do also .. Appreciation is what it is and like Special K ,,I like em all for their individial differences.. Papa Larry
