Question Can anyone identify these cab lights?

Ok, so I have a friend who is working on a 72 Chev and when I went to look at it I noticed that where the lights go on the top (roof) of the cab, there was a raised area for each light. Like the cab roof was molded for the lights. I have never seen this before...is this a special truck? Can anyone tell me what it is off of? I will try to get a pic.

Not a special cab, they came standard on 3/4 and 1 ton cabs, can't remember the exact year.
They could be ordered for 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton as well. I am sure the Longhornman will refresh my memory on the exact years that DOT made them mandatory.

Re: Can anyone identify these cab lights?

they were not standard on anything light duty (c/30 and less) But they were required options on any cab/chassis truck, and any daul rear wheel truck from 68 to date.
As far as trucks with beds, they were an option avalible on any 10 - 30 series truck.

I have the same lights on my 1/2 ton. It came as an option on mine, probably a fleet truck. You can get replacements from LMC, lens covers, pads, sockets, etc.

Re: Can anyone identify these cab lights?

you can get them a LOT cheaper at NAPA too.
They used the exact same p/n lens, base, bulb, harness... clear up into the 90's.
