Please help me decide

I need you all to help me decide which rims to buy. I just can't do it. My wife is no help, "Just get what you want".

I ordered the fuel rims due to the limited choice I had with the 5x5 pattern and the offset I want, but a few boardmembers have sent me in a different direction (Thank you, 70rs/ss, 1968swbbigblock). If I go with the Convo Pro, I will need to order a new set of custom axles with a different lug pattern. I always liked the convo pro and I still have time to cancel the fuel's as they have not been shipped yet.

I just can't decide. Please help. Credit to Summit for the pics.

Fuel

They will be going on my 74 stepper, by the way.

I am too old school to ride on anything like 22", ect. So my son was no help either.

Re: Please help me decide

Of the two choices ,I like the fuel . I had Convos years ago and the satin center will give you the fits when trying to polish the outer rim . The fuel is totally polished so it should be easier to take care of . Should look good when installed .

Re: Please help me decide

I know it's not one of the options, but I would roll on the Daisys you're on now before I'd go with Convos or Fuels.

To me, Daisys are one of those wheels like Cragar SS, Torq Thrusts, and Keystone Classics that just fits the 70s character of our trucks.

I like the convos best of the two. I'm old school as well. Hell, I even like what you have now!

Have you looked at the Vintage Vintiques? I'm considering some of the rallies for my upcoming restore.

You didn't offer the choice, but I vote for "none of the above". Sorry bro, but I can't get with the retro 80 style wheels.

Re: Please help me decide

I like the wheels you have now far better then any of those...if you decide to sell them pm me... But out of the two if I HAD to make a choice, I'd pick the Convo Pros. I dont like the satin back but I think the others look like a wheel that belongs on a conversion van or something.

i agree,i like the coke bottle's and white letter look your running right now.you got the visor and tonneau, the retro type stance.i like it by the way. but,i know how it is when you want something.put it under the hood, that money will buy some horsepower.

Re: Please help me decide

I would cancel your order and keep what you have on it! Looks great to me. I would just flip your tires over to the blackwall side. In my opinion, both of those rims wouldn't look any better than what your running now.

Re: Please help me decide

Damn guys. Now I am even more undecided. Thank you to everyone for the reply's and the nice comments. I really do appreciate them.

1. I like the rims I have now, but the offset I need is not availiable.
I want to lower the rear down more and run the 29x25's, with a mini tub. I have had these rims for 20yrs and I just want a different look. I worked alot of overtime to get the cash, but I don't want to waste it either.

2. But, more horepower is always good. I am setting pretty good on HP right now. What the above pic doesn't show is the "bolt ons" that I installed earlier this year. She runs great, enough to give me the "shaky feet" syndrome quite often. Click on the link in my signature. (The hood is getting to get painted this week and I have cleaned up the engine bay a bit)

3. I guess I should have added a third option for the poll, but didn't think that would help me decide.

Thanks again guys for the advice. I need to figure out something tonight or tomorrow.
