Re: 3/4 ton blazer/
Is it a military M1009 military blazer?

Re: 3/4 ton blazer/
the only way to know if it was factory would be to check the VIN.
Link to vin decoder : http://www.chuckschevytruckpages.com/81-87VIN.html The sixth digit would need to be a "2" Last edited by tobiahr; 12-21-2008 at 11:47 PM. |

Re: 3/4 ton blazer/
It would be the rarest if it was.Even the M-1009's have 1/2 axles.

Re: 3/4 ton blazer/
Look at 2 things: if it still has the badges on the side, they will say 2500 if it is 3/4 ton... and look at the number of lug nuts, if it is 5 or 6, it is a 1/2 ton, if it has 8 then it is a 3/4 ton.
These are not rare at all. the best bet is what tobiahr said, check the VIN to know for sure.

Re: 3/4 ton blazer/
Check the vin all you want. There were never any documented 3/4 ton Blazers.

Re: 3/4 ton blazer
I WAS A LAYOUT INSP. AT G.M. TRUCK & BUS IN FLINT IN THE EARLY TO MID EIGHTIES WHERE THEY BUILT THE M1009s. THEY WERE 6 LUG AXELS WITH A HEAVIER SPRING PACK. THE PAYLOAD CAPACITY WAS 1200 LBS. BIGGER THAN A 1/2 & SMALLER THAN A 3/4 TON. ALL HAD POSI.s (GOV-LOCK) IN THE REAR. I THINK THEY WERE ALL 308-1 RATIOs. ALL OF THE CIVILIAN BLAZERS WERE 1/2 TONS. JOHN
