can some one help me with this thought

ok since this is a forum of experts i was wondering.... ok i dont have alot of money and all the weather stripping on my truck is bad especially by the windows. Now here is the question if i put a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the window so the silicone sealant wont stick to the glass it would just stick to the frame and gap could i use the silicone caulk to make weather stripping

I would try some universal weatherstripping first, can't be more than $10 or $15...

Re: can some one help me with this thought

The person that owned my truck before I bought it put some sort of clear jelly between the seals on the vent windows and they stuck together making them inop which I didn't like. I'm not for sure what the substance was but I had to get ride of it.
