Factory Tach Cluster
Im changing the cluster in my 72 jimmy from the basic gauge cluster to cluster with a factory tach. i was wondering first if i have to change the plug-in from the wiring harness to match the new cluster? and also how to hook up the vaccum gauge

There is a separate wire harness for the tach. You can get it from just about any vendor. I don't know about the vacuum.

Or you can just buy some wire and spade connectors and do it yourself, up to you.
As far as vacuum, I guess you could tie it into your carb or intake.

If your dash is currently the 3 guage set-up, then there is some re--wiring/ re-pinning of the wiring harness. IF you have the 5 guage cluster currently then it is mainly a plug and play. Except you will need the tach wiring harness which is around $25.00 from most of the vendors on this site.
Do a search under the Tech area and you will find a write up on how to do it correctly and a wiring diagram.
