Re: Another alignment question
OMG! you read my mind! (that's why i love this forum) I noticed a butt load of shims when pulling my upper control arms. Luckly, I kept em and and used them for the new control arms I pilfered. As I was putting things together, that thought crossed my mind. Very curious (like George, the Monkey) on this one

Re: Another alignment question
Surely there is some sorta sleeve that you can put over the bolts that will act like a spacer....hmm....but i wonder if it would be strong enough?! Time to go to the home depot hardware section....

Re: Another alignment question
You can use a sleeve or steel bushing if you want... all you are doing is shimming the arms in to gain alignment. One of the reasons they engineered that front end with that many shims is because that is back in the days when automakers were engineering their vehicles to last for more then 4-6 yrs (average payment terms and extended warranties) and they were allowing you to be able to compensate for crossmember sag. They also did it because body / chassis tolerances in those days were measured with a ruler

Re: Another alignment question
I used 1" longer A-arms and camber never gets too outta whack throughout the travel. I use no shims.
