Found one!!!
72 Cheyenne, swb, black, a/c cab. Perfect, I mean PERFECT body. Needs an engine rebuild and possibly some tranny work. The guy wants $4500. I'll run by there and get some pics but off the cuff, what do you think?

Re: Found one!!!
I'll drop by there tomorrow and get some pics. The guy was going to put a new engine and tranny in it but he found an 87' 4x4 and decided to buy it instead. I think the doubts will be silenced when you see it.

Re: Found one!!!
If it really and truly is a nice, straight, clean body....you won't go wrong. Most of us have bought runners that needed body work, which is what most of these trucks are. Just be sure that it really is as nice as you think it is. I'm a good one to use as an example of thinking something is more than it is.

Re: Found one!!!
but check the body work carefully... bring a magnet. look for bondo in all the critical areas... ( I hate looking a freshly painted trucks or cars,, and especially ones in all primer... for that very reason)

Re: Found one!!!
engines are cheap, smallblock chevies are all over the place and easy to find... straight and rust free bodies are not.
