1947-1951 chev/GMC daily driver build.
OK, I sold my 78 short wide back in the middle of November at ramdom, offer I couldn't refuse. I decide after hunting for a new truck to build one. I wanted something much older. I found 2 or 1 1/2 trucks. One a 1947 gmc 2 ton cab very solid no rust on a 1/2 ton frame. The other a 51 chev complete, including rust and it been hit by a fork lift on the right side. Both trucks were to be crushed. I'm a inliner so its still a fresh 235 out of 54 car. rebuilt truck 3 speed trans. Torque tube. Its taking a lot of parts and all new rubber.
I'm a tight budget, of course and need to drive it soon. Its been about a month now since the start. Its just about road worthy. I'm shooting for the 1st of january. I have lots of pics so heres just a few. together they wait If you want to see more the truck is further along. Here is the link http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/l...omb%20Truckin/ I'll post more soon............. |
