Sunday Morning Fun!
Okay there is no pictures with this story but I am laughing now that it is Tuesday! Sunday I cruised over my friend's house to help him out. I have several car selections to drive at this point but I choose my 69 C-20 because I love driving my humble old truck. Well I got to my friend's house and jumped out and started our usual conversation. At some point I look over at my truck and I see something dripping. After further observation I realize it is the gas line. The rubber hose coming off the the hard line was just crumbling in my hand. I grab a spark plug and plugged it off. Did I mention I had just filled her up with gas. I got a gas bath and I had have my buddy take me over to the parts store. I am a big mustang fan/owner around town. The parts guy asked me why do you smell like gas! I told him my story and everybody started to laugh because I sold off my 67 F-100 and bought two old chevy trucks over the last year. Well they got their laugh but my truck is now fixed and I have decided to replace all the hoses on my 69 C-20! I was pissed Sunday morning but now I am laughing because I did not go through the truck in my normal manner and I paid the price.

Re: Sunday Morning Fun!
That story was a "GAS" ...sorry I couldn't help myself. On the bright side at least you weren't at some far off distant location w/o help.

Re: Sunday Morning Fun!
I had that happen. PO had the mufflers under the cab and the rubber line was toast.

Re: Sunday Morning Fun!
The Chevy was paying you back for buying the F--d in the first place. They are kind of like an "Old Faithful Dog". They will hike their leg at the appropriate times.

Re: Sunday Morning Fun!
I probably deserved it for all the bad Chevy jokes I told over the years... Funny thing about it I am still looking forward to fixing up both my trucks. My C-20 is for hauling etc but I still have plans for it... I want a good paint job for daily use and the drivetrain needs to be reliable... I plan to do a 5.3 setup in my C-10, fuel injection....
