Question Anyone shave the metal bump stop tower off the bottom A arm??

just wondered about doing it to get a little more front end travel, then install a small urethane hockey puck bump stop.

anyone pulled this off with good results??

Thanks!!

I have removed it to lay frame with air bags, just drill out the spot welds through the bump stop and pound off with a chisel and hammer.

I always do this mod. (including using the small "energy Suspension" bumpstops)
Alot of people remove the entire bracket,... but I like to trim off the bumpstop bracket portion only,...and leave the steering stop.

i threw a sawzall in the hole there and sliced it off. helped greatly with 2 inch drop springs and 2.5 inch spindles.now i don't have any bumpstop but i don't think i've bottomed out in the front.
