Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
I came across this online. Its about 75 miles from me. I think it would be so cool to have another truck the same year. One really nice, and one kinda nice that pulls the other. One for show, and one for go...lol. Its a '67 just like mine. It has a 327 with a 3speed moved to floor. Guy said he wants $2600 but will break even at $2200. I can't offer that. Just curiuos what it may be worth. Heres a few pics.
Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays!! Now, I gotta go. Theres more Christmas food that needs to be eaten. |

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
I've seen better for sale in Ak. for less.
I'd offer $1500.00 for it and forget it! If he really wants to sell,he'll call you. I say this because in my case,I look at what it will cost to get it into driving shape. On this truck,It appears it ain't been used much, and needs some interior work.Maybe tires, exhaust, brakes, probably some wiring work. You may have to spend up to a grand on it just make it dependable,so I'd knock off close to that much. This is my opinion from looking at a picture and little info. Mike. |

Nothing wrong with this post thirdstreet.
don't take this the wrong way, but if you feel a post is breaking the rules then you should report it (which you did) and move on. Let the mod's take care of enforcing the rules. Thanks. |

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
Thanks Mike(100%Chevy). I was just telling my buddy the other day that I wouldn't give over $1500. I think it is worth that, if it runs down the road like the guy said, and holds good oil pressure. I may save up, and get something a bit better.
As far as the engine goes, I'm not sure. |

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
The 67 - 72 generation trucks are going up in price all the time. This appears to be a non-power, drum brake truck, with a SBC, and a 3-speed? Seems like $2,200 is a lot of money. I agree with 100%chevy, offer the owner $1,500 and be willing to walk away! Of course, in certain areas where it's drier and the metal stays in better shape, the trucks command a better price because we all want the good tin. Good luck, can't beat another truck!!

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
A running driving ,solid Arkansas truck for $2200. I'd give him that in a heartbeat. I too am in Chicago area and you don't find solid 67's up here for nowhere near that price., Up here, the bed is worth a grand and the rolling frame is worth a grand. The rest of the truck is free-the way I look at it.
Sounds like I should come down there with a three place trailer, stuff is CHEAP down there! Quick question,,,,,thirdstreet,,,,,,,,,What's with the Barbie ?-KB |

the fact that his post doesn't break any rules is reason enough to explain why you were ignored on this report. it's also goes a long way to explain why your mod application was denied. one must know the rules before one can enforce rules. Last edited by Richard8971; 12-26-2008 at 09:27 PM. |

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
As stated by staff, other members, etc, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS POST. It is not against the rules to post this type of question if you are looking to buy a truck, only if it is yours and you are trying to sell it. Now, before you go arguing with staff, complaining that there wasn't a staff member present at the time, etc, realize this. Not everyone that is on the site can be seen. If you check your user cp you will notice that you can be invisible to other members while cruizing the board. Please know all the facts before spouting off.
Now how about we end this discussion and get back to the point at hand....Is this truck worth what the seller is asking for it? Is it a good deal for THE BIG GREEN? I'm sorry if this seems harsh, but I don't like it when someone critizes the staff and the hard work they put into it. I have to agree that the asking price seems a little high, but I don't know what the market is in your area.

As far as the OP. It seems slightly high, but then again it depends upon the area and of course your level of interest. |

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
I bought a truck like that for $500.That`s the most it`s worth to me.A 67-72 can still not be worth alot of money.I`ve seen`55 Belairs that I could have for free that I walked away from.

Re: Need help with a '67 swb that I came across
Its on Ebay...lol. It shows a little over 7hrs left, 12 bids, an $965 so far. I would like to go look at it, but its terrible down here right now. I have a plan after the bidding, and if the reserve doesn't get met. There is however a good looking little '67 3/4 in Fontane, Cali that has a $1750 buy it now price, if someones looking on the west side.
As far as the little disagreement goes on between everyone...lol. I take things differently now, thanks to a few people, Shane being one. I try not to post things I shouldn't. I never really read the rules, but I glanced at them a little...lol. I have an eye problem, and see double, not that I see 2 of the same friend, but more like an outline if that makes sense. Reading for an extended amount of time gives me headaches, and I hate headaches. I can't read so someone types for me, I just say what I want it to say, so sorry if its wrong. That last sentence was a joke...lol. I read a lot, but just take small breaks. Back to being serious. I apprecaite the help of a few people. I'll get off point here a little, but for good reason. How can I open a PayPal account? I never have, and can't be a paid member if I don't get one. Last edited by The Big Green; 12-27-2008 at 02:33 PM. |

I believe this is good advice because it keeps members who don't have the authority to enforce rules from getting into a pissing match with other members in situtations like this. We really want the members on here to play nice with each other! As far as your Paypal account, it's really easy. You will need a bank account to link to Paypal to open one. Just go to thier website and they will walk you through it. Or if you are looking for a one-time-payment option, they can help with that too! Hope you get one of the trucks you were looking at. Please post pics of it if you end up with one! Don
