Not that it maters to me much anymore...just sharing a tidbit of info with everyone...
275/60 rear tires...an automatic tranny with non lockup verter...and 3.07 gears. All this = 2300 RPM's at 60 MPH. I know it has come up before, and this is the only way to show off my brand stinkin new tach. (it was free too!!! A dude owed me gas $$ and was broke, so he gave me this bad mamm-jamma. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Woohoo! Just did a little math based off of that...I've got the exact same size tires (275/60..15's I hope? heh) but a 3.73 rear...I don't know the exact RPMs but I do know it's winding up there, over 3000 by then I'm pretty sure...at that RPM I'm going a little less than 50...
Anyway...just did the math, the RPMs are going to be even lower than that at 60 when I get my 700R4...4th on a 3.73 is like 3rd with a 2.76 (if one ever existed, lol)...and the lockup torque converter... Damn, I bet it'll be nice seeing 80mph without seeing nearly 4000RPM!! ------------------ Project 1970 - soon to be seen at http://milhouse.treylis.org:81/

The guages, I just pulled them out, and shot them with wall mart spray paint. If I waerte to do it again, I'd use the testors paint in the model/hobby section...MUCH higher quality paint. They I covered the face, and shot the needles with some engine paint. I always intended to put white acc guages in the bottom, but never got around to it.
Project1970, I hope you drop allot of $$ into the 700 tranny, otherwise, if your putting out any more than stock output, you'll regret it. Jason...the wild child is always in action...see's 100 MPH at least once a month...I know, I'ma crazy SOB huh? ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350.
