Other interests?

Okay so we all know that we are all into trucks in a big way but what are some of your other interests?

Mine are my bike, 2005 Road King. Ive put over 40k miles on since I bought it in March of '05. It hasnt seen a trailer since it was shipped to Atlanta from York PA and never will unless it breaks down! Trailers are for boats!

Work, yes I really do love my job! 21 and a half years as a hospital engineer and no end in sight! Started out cutting the grass and now I run the engineering shop.
Sorry no pic of work.

I am a hockey MANIAC! even though my local team is and almost always has been horrible Im still an Atlanta Thrashers homer! My 2nd favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks so at least I am backing one winner this season!

My dogs! (L-R) Grace,Abigail, and Ruby are my current 3.

Come on guys and gals let's here it. What else are yall into?!?!

Re: Other interests?

I like building/making things, boating, going to the lake, camping, as well as tailgating at the Chiefs games. I like hanging out with my one year old son, the best. He is going to be a good little trucker.

Besides trucks I love the dunes. We have several quads and a utv. We camp, boat and play in the deserts of Az and Ca.

Re: Other interests?

I am also into woodworking, photography, electronics, and just tinkering around with crap. I like to know how it works (and doesn't work), whatever it may be.

By day, I am a computer systems analyst and like it pretty well.

More than anything, I enjoy spending time with my kids. I am a volunteer with Cub Scouts, YMCA Youth Sports, and several other activities that support my kids.

My wife, my kids, my friends.

Skateboarding, surfing, fishing.

Messing with old bicycles and riding around on them.

Reading, writing (I was a journalist in another life), taking notes and photos, talking to random people about anything and everything... I find old truck nuts the very best in that regard!

Re: Other interests?

Other hobbies for me are my girlfriend, RC cars, camera's, and rock climbing. All of which my girlfriend's into, or atleast tolerates, but we're both huge rockclimbers and she got me into camera's, so makes for good times, and tons of money spent for me.

Re: Other interests?

Hey Leftcoast, I assume you've visted Smith Rocks?

I've fished up and down the Crooked River, and very much enjoyed camping in that area. Climbers are always cool to talk to, and fun to watch.

Lots of old Iron mummified in the desert air around that area, too. My buddy just bought an exceptionionally unmolested '48 Ford Sedan from a lady who lived about two miles outside Terrebonne.

Saw quite a few Chevys while we were on that trip, though more cars and less trucks. I'd guess it's because the rocky, expansive ranching environment of Central Oregon doesn't result in an easy life for a work vehicle.

Re: Other interests?

My 2 sons & wife, my youngest is already a gearhead at 8, my oldest doesn't really get into cars/trucks much other than liking to look at them, a couple good friends(also gears heads), I also tend to play with my Impreza alot, alot of work related training.

I used to crew on a couple local race teams a short track circle track car and the father inlaws hill climb car. Guess my interests changed. Couldn't see spending all that time working on them and not being able to cruise them fulltime. The circle track cars get used and beat up for 1 night a week and worked on the rest of the week,
The hill climb car gets ran in practice all day Saturday and raced on a Sunday,,,once a month during the warm months. There are several small races a year around he state but 1 huge race a year.

I liked working on them just wasn't much of a return on the effort involved.

Thanks! Good to know. My roommate got me into rock climbing last September, so I haven't had a chance to venture out of Spokane area where college is at. Now I'm stuck indoors cuz of all the snow everywhere.

Some of my other interests are my classic boats, cars, HD's and collecting old stuff. My wife rides her own bike as well. That allows me to build everything solo...

Thumbs up Re: Other interests?

Other than my ole' 62:
I was raised up to love HotRods, StreetRods, RatRods, MuscleCars, DragRacing, and the old classic cars and trucks. I also love Mustangs! Owned two of them in my life time. My last Mustang was a 2004 40th Anniversery Yellow GT that I was making a BOSS out of.

http://www.ymrforums.com/showthread....194#post324194
What I know about cars and trucks, and the history behind them was from my father. He has had any where from a High Horse power 454 Chevelle. 69 RS 427 Camaro, another chevelle, MG, and a Ford Falcon just off the top my head. Dad took me to DragRaces and CarShows/Cruisins ever since I could walk and talk. I love drag racing! Speed and Spike channel is my two TV Channels! Anyway. Dad sure had some sweet stuff up to this day. And he knows the old school tricks as well. Like using drive shafts to make mufflers! Now that's ole' school stuff! Today my dad has only one old car left; a rare 1969 AMC Rambler American that went from stock to a jacked up streetrod with a straight axel in the front; to a Nostalgia Pro/Street to this day. So alot of my love and inspiration came from my dad. Love ya pops!

We to this day go to CarShows/Cruisins together! His Rambo and my ole 62. I pretty much like anything with a motor strapped on it! All except Pansy Coffee Can Buzzing Rice Burners! Other intrest in my life is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Family, Church, hitting the gym, and fishing.

One day. . I will put something on the back bumper. I'll start with the lawn mower!http://www.outlawracing.com/HOMEPAGE...D/2386/Default
