Adding Air to a Non-Air truck?

If you have who did you use and how do you like it? What problems did you run into? Can I switch the heater control panel to a HVAC panel to get away from having to mount the additional switches in the dash? Thanks!

Re: Adding Air to a Non-Air truck?

On my 86 i had a non air cab and my sons school had an air burb they were scrapping so we went in there after they cut the chassis off and just took all the parts out and swapped it over.... if i remember right we had to cut a hole for the evaporator or whatever the thing is that sets in the heater core box thing... ( you need to use both halves of the factory pieces that are for an AC truck) Its been several years and my buddy was a mechanic so he did most of the work while i worked on the beer lol i cant remember all the details but it wasnt that big of a deal... I also know we took the wheel well out on the left side to make life easier
