Re: Lowest drop!!!

You can do drop spindles and 3 inch springs in front and 6 inch springs in back, 5.5/6 drop. Very low in front though. I tried it

Re: Lowest drop!!!

5/7 but you might need a bolt in notch.

Re: Lowest drop!!!

I used 2 1/2" dropped spindles, 2" Eibach dropped springs (they actually dropped it 3") and 235/60x15's on my daily driver '71 Cheyenne (a total drop of 7" from stock). I used Chevelle station wagon springs in the rear for about 4" of drop. My a-arms were about 3" from the blacktop. The rear end would bottom out on most any bump. My Saturday morning ritual was dropping the pipes from the headers, heating and straighting the flange, replacing the gaskets and bolting it all back together. Not to mention bending both a-arms.

I finally reinstalled the stock springs (don't remember how much i cut them but it was about a 1" drop). Didn't look as cool but atleast i stopped bending my headers.

If it's a daily driver i would recommend a 3"/4" drop (the least expensive way would be to use dropped springs). Might not look as cool as a 5 1/2"/6" drop but you'll be much happier with it.

Re: Lowest drop!!!

I agree, I scraped on everything with a 5 1/2 inch front drop

Re: Lowest drop!!!

The lowest up front I would go would be 4.5" (2.5" drop spindles/2" springs) and 6" in the rear (either with a bolt in notch/or without)

Re: Lowest drop!!!

We have a 4/7 drop on ours and the rear sits about 1/2" higher in the rear. 4" drop springs and 5" drop springs rear with 2" blocks. Doesnt ride to terribly bad either.
