What happened to my lights?
Here's the story. All my lights(dash, parking, headlights, reverse) were working fine. Then last night all of a sudden, I notice my dash lights went out. My headlights and signals were still working so I was able to drive home last night.
Now, only the headlights(both dim and bright) and the signals(although they are blinking very fast) are the only thing working. The dash lights dont work, the brake lights dont work, the parking lights dont work. Since some of the lights work, I don't think a bad ground is the problem. My first guesses are a blown fuse or possibly the light switch. Is there a way to know if my light switch went bad? Any one ever have something similar happen? Any ideas would be of great help!!! Thanks Mario

I'd do a quick check of all the 1157 bulbs (front and rear, left and right). Maybe one of them has an internal short.
Your parking lights and your dash lights use the same fuse. This is a safety thing - if your dash lights are out, you will get it fixed. If your tail lights were on a separate circuit, you may not notice. Even though you don't think it's a ground problem, I'd check the bed ground. There should be a strap or two tying it to the frame. I think these are ahead of the rear tires.
