LS engines in Task Force Trucks

I am looking for an LS engine/transmission combo for my 56 driver and would like any input as to what years to look for or stay away from. I understand the Howell wiring harness makes it a fairly simple install but would like to hear any stories good or bad on someone elses experience. Also has anyone bought a used engine/transmission combo from a supplier on the net with a good experience?

For lots of info about LS engines and conversion info go to:

www.ls1tech.com

There is a ton of info there and that is where I bought my engine/trans.
