250 throttle linkage

i need pics of the throttle linkage for my 67. how are you sixers hooking them up to your throttle cable? thanks

I don't follow you, a 67 truck had a throttle rod, not a cable.

Sorry, if my reply came off as smart alleck. I didn't intend it that way at all.

If that's the case, you can use the later throttle brackets.

When I converted a 68 model 6 cylinder engine over to a 72 truck, I found the little pivot bracket for the manifold off of a later engine (a 250 in an Impala car) in the junkyard. With the factory bracket, it only took a minute or two to get it hooked up and working smoothly.

There is a little pin type of bolt that screws into the manifold and a bellcrank that fits onto the pin, held on by a clip. This converts the cable's linear motion to a rod going to the carb.

Tx, no offence taken. i belive there is a 75ish pick-up in a local yard with a 250. ill check it out. thanks
