I pulled this off my 71 blazer. It is super sturdy but also very light weight. I figured I'd offer it up to the board first. I'm asking $125.00 Thanx Dana

Is the rack rusty at all? Assuming that it is bolted through the roof (correct?) do all necessary brackets/bolts come with it?

I do not know the difference between a single wall and double wall top (help here - anyone !!) so must ask if it will work for both?

It has surface rust where the paint has been scrapped. It just bolted through the top. I have all the hardware. I took the rack off my self. It is a great rack. Just not the look i'm going for. It only had 4 bolts in it, 3/8 bolts if I remember correctly. It should work with both tops.

Single wall tops have dome lights on the drivers side of the top. They bolt from the top of the lip down into the bedside. There should be nuts attached to the bottom of the bed rail on the inside, so the side panels dont need to be removed to remove the top. Stainles steel strips run on the inside of the lip underneath the bolts.

Double wall tops dont have exposed bolts from a "back seat" view. The side panels need to be removed to remove the top. Bolts run from the bottom of the bed side rail and into the bottom of the top.

Double wall tops were factory installed on 1969-1972 blazers. Some time in 1972 they switched to single wall tops, but I'm not sure when. Both tops have different bolt patterns. Some 1972's have double wall holes, some have single wall holes, and them some of both.

Not to hijack this thread, but thanks a lot Mint68. I get the full picture and, even without going out to the garage to look, now know that two of my 72s have double wall tops. The third Blazer came to me with a soft top - so I will need to inspect the rails.

I am thinking about this roof rack for the hunting rig.

Hello Bad4X4. I'm still trying to decide if I want to punch 4 holes in the roof of a pretty much original second owner rust-free 72 Blazer - not sure. In the meantime if you do not mind - about your K30 trucks - are they both standard wheelbase and what type of bed behind the cabs? A pic or two, maybe?

Here is a pic of Ol'Blue. It has a Dana 60 front end and a 1-ton full floating 14 bolt in the rear. Both truck's started there life as k-20's. Hope this helps.
