Are my tires going to rub?

Here's what I've got; 1970 model, 5 lug(wide) rearend, 17x9 & 1/2" rear wheels with 5 & 1/2" backspace, 275-50 Fusion tires, 4" rear drop. Are they going to rub the wheel tubs?

Re: Are my tires going to rub?

I think not, my son is the expert here but we are running 20x9's and had no issues. I know yours are .5 wider but I remember there being about an 1 to 1.5 inch gap. If you do run into trouble though my son ordered (not sure from who, he knows) rear spacers to set the wheels out closer to the fenders. Cosmetic only, he likes the stance better. If you are interested let me know and I will ask where he got them. Have a good day...

Re: Are my tires going to rub?

That brings me to my next question. I have some of those spacers and wondered how safe they are with stock wheel studs. These are 7/16" thick.

Re: Are my tires going to rub?

The ones we have were made by a guy in a machine shop, they are 2 or 3 inch billet alum. and they bolt to the axle then the wheel bolts to them. Pretty heavy duty stuff. Great quality and he makes them to order, get any size or bolt pattern.
