Hidden Hitch

I have a question for anyone who is running a tank in the back. I want to put a hidden hitch on my truck, but I have a no limit aluminum tank that mounts on the bottom of the frame. Is that a hitch I could get that would work with the tank without bolting on the tank? If I bought one, could I weld some other pieces on so that I could bolt it on the side of the frame? Who that be strong enough? Any info would be appreciated.

Early classics sells the hidden hitches and I believe they work when a Blazer tank is installed, so should work with your tank. Give them a call, first class operation.

I had a roll pan on mine, so the hiddan Hitch would'nt work. I had one made so it fits between the roll pan and the Blazer tank.

Will the hidden hitch models work on a blazer that has the skid plate option for the gas tank?

My dad made his own frame mount hitch and it has hauled just over 6000#. I also talked to a guy who got a free hitch and added onto it to make it fit on his truck, hadn't had a problem in 5 years with regular use. If you weld some add on pieces to a hitch make sure you use heavy enough materal, make a good strong bead, and don't leave any week stress points that can break over time with wear.

Some day I would like to get a "cheap" bumper from somewhere and make a hidden hitch that comes out from behind a flip down license plat.
