do people shave the factory drip rails?
above the doors......Im getting the truck painted and want to clean it up a bit......any experiences?..........I had the plastic Ventvisors on another truck and liked them, thats what I want to go with.

Only if you like to get wet when it's raining outside.

I shaved them off my 78 daily driver and never had a problem. I just had them removed off my 84. I think it cleans it up.

someone did that with my truck and i had to find new ones to put back on i like em chrome

some one painted over mine and i had to use acetone to bring it back to chrome

If I recall,mine weren't chrome when I got the burb.Must a been for the early ones!I have them in a box around here,but I have filled in the holes and painted over them,hah!!!
