mine is mounted ontop of the steering collum.
i have also seen quite a few guys mount em ontop of the dash just above the center air - vent/storage box

Mine's right on the column. It moves when you shift and is in the right place when it's in drive. |

Its hard to see in the pic but its hanging on a custom bracket from the driverside visor mounting location works great and is out of the way. ill try to get a better pic tonight

That"s a 4" mounted right at the intersection where the dash turns into the straight section. its low enough to be discrete and out of the way that passengers riding in the middle dont kick it. I have an external shift light that goes on it to the right side when i drag it, but im gonna mount it in the old oil pressure or temp light warning light slots so i can be looking at the track and actually see it!
And yes i know that steering wheel is beat! I love it, and i have a leather wrapped one to go on it when i quit having to make U-pullit runs! |
