Radiator Hose Question

Anyone out there know if a 71 Cheyenne should have just the rubber upper hose or should it have the metal tube with hose? Which is correct, I have seen it both ways. Thanks

Re: Radiator Hose Question

I think just the hose originally. I believe that the blazers and the K series trucks used the metal tube because the engine is set back closer to the firewall making the longer hose a bit to floppy. I read that somewhere once anyway.

Re: Radiator Hose Question

Thanks guys, my truck is a K series 4-wheel drive. It did have a tube, but I wasn't sure if it was right or not. But that sounds right to me to keep the tube in the line. Thanks again
