Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
I bought a parts truck today that I am very excited about. Here is a picture:

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
Oh, I forgot the exciting part. What you can't see is the factory power-lok rear and the big-block. See what you can see! SPID didn't turn out in the dark picture taking.
Previous owner is a board member and a great guy with one of the nicest SWB 4x4's that I have seen yet. Maybe someday he will post some pics of it (after the record snowfall, flooding, landslides, etc., etc...

Good eye! Yes, AM/FM. Also, what you can't see is the tach dash so I will give that to you!

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
Wow that would be one awesome parts truck or even better a body swap to a 4x4 frame and restore. I love that color and those buckets.
Great score.

Very nice! Was the price tag reasonable?

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
It was a fair price. Definitely less money and hastle than trying to piece all of those options together seperately.

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
So you mean youre gonna add a few parts and drive it, or use the parts that are there ? That one looks too roadworthy to part out IMO. I like the white/yellow. When I bought my 72 C-20. It was the exact same color. Not quite as loaded. Good luck with that one !!!

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
That looks like a shortened frame and short fleet bed candidate to me

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
I am going to add a few parts and drive it. The 2 major parts that I am going to add are the 1) a bed, and 2) 3/4 4x4 chassis.

Good to hear it's not being "parted out."

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
Breeh
That's a Fremont, CA built truck so you are going to have to find it's build sheet. I wonder if they stuffed it in the bucket seat back or bottom like the regular seats or maybe under the carpet over the tank or floor? Please let me know where you find it and pictures if possible of the 'BUILD OUT" and it's location with the bucket seats. That is soooooo coool.

Re: Very Happy About New Parts Truck!
That is nice of him to sell it to you. Considering all the parts that he could have stashed for himself.

The truck was sitting with plans since 2005 and I didn't see myself having the time to get to it, and I didn't want it to rot away. We have all come across those guys that will not sell and probably never get to the project. Now I have the responsibility to not let it rot away! I think that it helped his decision to let it go due to the absolutely gorgeous SWB 4x4 that he acquired.
