Photos of trucks past.(lots of em!)

I am kinda bored and thought I would post up some pics of trucks that we've had in the past couple of years. There's a few not pictures, but I'll list a little bit about them anyways.

1)Brothers 70. Paid $800 for it fresh out of the barn, with a 283 4 speed. Didn't take long and it was looking good. Was a no optioned plain-jane, but now sports 350, tach, tilt, and recently, an automatic update, along with 373 gears and a posi. CURRENTLY OWNED

Take-off fenders purchased for a whoppin 390 bucks!

2)69 longhorn found on bismanonline.com. Factory 396/auto with nothing else except for lots o' rust. Had 80000 miles on it and one owner. Paid a whoppin $650 for it. Ran like a top! Sorry, no pics

3)70 custom/10 with a 350 4 speed. This was a killer rust free truck bought for the cab. Had 27000 miles on it. Owned by a school for many, many years, then a farmer in the Dickinson, ND area. Man that truck was a beauty.

4)71 longhorn with a 402 4 speed. Owner had someone replace the battery and alternator, but forgot to hook up the power wire from battery cable to box on fender. Drove it home for $240! Took the motor apart to find a freshly rebuilt 402 that was .060 over and clean as a whistle. Man that was a buy! Again, sorry no pics.

5)71 gmc longhorn for the cab. Paid a buddies dad $50 for it. Was originally a 350 auto. Factory a/c and nearly no rust. But it had been run into a fence post(no brakes), so the front end was messed up. Last of the no pics.

6) 72 sbss. Originally a truck made for the army, but it had a 350/auto, which I thought was unusual. Owned by a couple of cities used as a tar truck. Rough, rough shape, but still retained factory 16" 5 hole rims and the motor/tranny. Not much to look at, but I have the frame under my 72 sbfs currently.

7) This truck was just wow. One of the most highly optioned trucks I've ever seen. Paid 700 for this beast. Another one that was parted out.

8)Another longhorn, but the roughest of the crowd. Still had the original 402/auto. Low miles but sat for 25 years. Most of this went to the crush, while the other three went to go on as trailers. Paid a grand for this one.

9)Beautiful 70 GMC factory big block auto. Paid 1400 for this one and drove it home. Them straight pipes should did make this one stick out. Was originally bought by a friends grandfather who had the big block freshed .040 over. This motor could sure light them tires up.

10)None of these were trucks, but were additions within the past few years, too. I didn't post any pics of a couple of trucks or descriptions for that matter, but there was indeed more.

Nice trucks, you found some pretty good buys there. I really like the last picture. She looks to be in good shape. I think she'd be a keeper, don't crush her!!!!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Photos of trucks past.(lots of em!)

andy, the last one is my girlfriend. all of these trucks were found either through classifieds or driving around and knocking on doors. the 71 longhorn by far has been the best buy. i would have probably kept that one together if the rear brakes weren't royally screwed up and locked up every time you touched the pedal. oh well, it was a fun run through high school.

Re: Photos of trucks past.(lots of em!)

Glad you kept them for parts before crushing them. At least not all was lost.
