I was looking at buying this 62 c10, but dont know much about them, my question is: what is the diffrence between them and 63 and up as far as the chassis. (i.e. brakes, steering, suspension front and rear. Thanks

Re: whats the diffrence

the '60-'62 has a X frame and torsion bars up front. stock suspension parts are spendy, but you can swap in an '73-up cross member.
the '63-'66 and '67-'72 suspensions are pretty much alike, and you can just change to '73-up arms to have disc brakes and updated suspension.

And

Re: whats the diffrence

60-62 also have a different rear end, so swaping in a 5 lugger takes some fab work, also if yours is a stick it has a hydrulic clutch that is feed by your master cylinder ( brake/clutch) so when updating your brakes this has to be modified too .
No biggie . Nice truck and welcome from SAN JOSE Nor*Cal

What is the difference on the rear? Is it the perches or panhard or both? Is it because the 60-62 frames are wider and the angle of the trailing arms?
