What did you get done? 01/11
I had a weekend off, but I spent most of it inside doing office work. I did get some errands ran yesterday, truck inspected and a movie with the family.
Today I washed all our drivers since it rained enough this week to get them all nasty. Took the family to dinner, and called it a day. What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
Finally got my front end sorted, turned out my front springs were shot so picked up a new set, did a service and now I'm on the road in time for for the Kumeu show, the biggest in the southern hemisphere.

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
I had a little time Friday to clean up my newly acquired '69 swb.
Saturday I got the front bags and suspension put back together on the blazer. Today. Nothing much. Here's my '69,...

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
I finished strippng the blazer minus the body, wrapped a few more pieces of my interior and acquired a set of 3rd row seats out of an 08 tahoe for the blazer. This interior is going to be nice. I'll be ready to pull the motor this weekend so if your are reading this Nate, I will be ready very soon. Saturday, I went to the movies with my 4 yr old daughter and the little boy next door. We watched "Bolt" and it wasn't terrible. It actually made me laugh out loud several times. Oh yeah, and I spent several hours on the internet trying to figure out what motor I will putting in the blazer. I've got a very nice polished TPI setup for it, but I am having second thoughts. decisions, decisions.

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
Still down with a cold - and it was close to 80 here today (Santa Ana winds warmed things up)!
While coughing and sneezing replaced headlight switch, installed old steering wheel (for now) and re-located SES (LED) to the left side of the instrument cluster. To do all of this took one trip to Autozone to return defective switch and pick-up replacement at Kragen! Non Delco replacement parts can be crap shoot and this time it was no different. Need to find replacement E-clip (original broke) to make sure that steering wheel nut does not back out! //RF

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
Replaced the steering box, all the ball joints, repacked the bearings, replaced the rear brakes, all new emergency brake cables and orders some braided brake hoses.
All in all, pretty productive saturday. Sunday got out the fourwheelers and played in the snow a bit.

Re: What did you get done? 01/11
Mine started on Friday.
Another board member and myself went to BFE to pick up a new used engine for the blazer got it home and after he left I started the task of removing the old and putting in the new. Saturday I had the engine in gettin g ready to bolt up the Torque converter to find out the fly wheel was differnt so pulled the engine again and put on the new fly wheel I got it all bolted up saturday Sunday put the starter on finished the wiring. primed the fuel filters (diesel) put in the batteries and started it up. In all the engines that I have ever installed this one by far was the easiest. Heck it even starts and runs like a champ with now adjustments at all Last night I tool the Blazer on a 20 mile drive to make sure everything was good on it. Today I need to put the grill on and go fill t up |
