For Example....

We see people here thinking a Cheyenne or Cheyenne Super is a loaded truck.Although they are at the top of the line for trim with features only available in those models,a base truck can be more loaded with individual options.
Here`s an example of a `71 Cheyenne with minimal options:

I know it`s not 100% original and I wish I coul see the SPID.I know the steering wheel and hub caps aren`t.These trucks can really vary, though.A Custom/10 could be a 402/TH400,tilt,tach,am/fm,power brake, deluxe two-tone,etc.

Re: For Example....

You have it exactly right. Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super are nothing more then appearance and some handling packaging.
Not comfort (except for the seat, full foam verson not full foam)

Re: For Example....

I always thought that Cheyennes and Super Cheyennes weren't the most loaded.

One question. How do you say Cheyenne? I've heard it sooo many ways. I usually just say, Kay-yen.

Shy ann. Is the usual pronunciation I have heard. It's actually named for the Cheyenne Indian(native American)IIRC.

It`s Cheyenne Super. What trim level did you think was the most loaded? The point is,loaded is options, not a trim level.A Cheyenne Super has the most of all levels and things not available on anything else. It`s the top of the ladder. If you ordered a truck and just spec`d Cheyenne Super, you`d get a 250/3spd,manual steering/brakes.But,you`d have a comfortable cloth seat, carpet, center seat belt, and all the trim, inside and out.

I guess pronunciation is one thing you can`t read off the internet, huh? Cayenne is red pepper and a Porche, pronounced Kay yen ay.

Re: For Example....

I believe in most cases, dealers would pre order trucks with the most popular equipment and options for there area. That way, the trucks would be in stock on his lot and ready for a quick sale.If left to the customer to order, there could be hundreds of variations from what is commonly seen.

Re: For Example....

Didn`t they say the only rust through is the typical under door, the rest is suface rust?I guess some consider when rust makes it through to the surface, that`s surface rust, huh? If you can`t see throught it yet it`s surface rust.It would be a great drive, better if more solid.Prolly a surprise under that original carpet and thresholds.
