REar leaf spgs--4x4 vs 2x4 ?

Are the leaf springs in a 4x4 the same size--length--as a 4x2 truck?
Am considering swapping my 4x2 1/2 ton rear leafs for some 3/4 ton 4x4 leafs.

the leafs are the same length. But your truck will sit higher in the back with the 3/4 leafs

Huck, i'm not sure but i think the 4x4 spring is also wider than the 4x2 spring. You may want to check it out before you start turning bolts.

Going to answer my own question here-----1/2 tons have a 4 leaf spring pack which is approx 52" long and about 2 3/8" inch wide. The 3/4 ton off a 4x4 is also approx 52" long but is about 2 5/8" wide and has 7 leafs. The U bolts and the spring brackets from the 1/2 ton are too narrow for the 3/4 ton springs.
So, you either get to grind down the 3/4 ton spring leafs a bit or return to square one. I may try swapping a few leafs to create a "5/8ths" ton leaf spring!
