rear spring hanger difference?

Currently busy working on a project that was started about 2 years ago. Figured this might get more attention here, then in my 2wd to 4x4 tread. Now to my question, whats the differnce between the rear hangers pickups. I noticed theres a difference between the trucks I got at home and the 4x4 converted one. I stole the picture form evoworks 73 gmc cab rebuild thread to show the difference. The rear of mine is a 2wd 3/4 ton pickup frame. I switched the rear hanger that the shackle bolts to because I knew it was different. Is the front hanger different as well?

Re: rear spring hanger difference?

I think both hangers for the rear end are taller on a 4x4. I've never had a 2wd chevy truck to compair it to though...

Re: rear spring hanger difference?

4x4 vs 4x2 ARE different. The former is taller.

Re: rear spring hanger difference?

Slim to none solid parts trucks, let alone 4x4 parts trucks around here cheap.

Sounds good, as long as there like the ones pictures above with the green cab. It would be greatly appreciated. Softballnrd27 you got a private message.
