Here is my project truck

Well I posted a friends finished truck and now here is my truck 1984 GMC. It's it's all original with the exception of the suburban clip, lowering kit and wheels. I have an engine built for it, upgrade brakes to install and hopefully a pb front and rear kit by next summer.

I like it. The burb clip stood out to me with the two tone paint. Great foundation you got there.

Re: Here is my project truck

Uncanny look-a-like.... For the life of me I cannot figure out why GM painted over that expensive red paint and put that white stripe on it??? Our builds are very similiar.

Re: Here is my project truck

Is that the original paint on the truck and clip, or has it be repainted to match? Makes me really want to put some factory wheels on my truck.

Re: Here is my project truck

It's the oringinal paint from '84. The front radiator support and grille assembly is from a '91 Suburban. I found an ad on craigslist and got it for $40. I just had to remove it from that guys burb.

Re: Here is my project truck

That's what I've been reading. I got mine 2 years ago. I ordered my 6 275/50/15's and 2 295/50/15's for my truck and my friends truck. It took about a month to get them then. I was told then that the larger 15's were going out to make room for all of the larger tires being made. I guess I'll have to get larger wheels when I wear these out.

Re: Here is my project truck

With the economy being slow in my line of work, my project is on hold for now. Besides I have to finish my dads' 85 and my father in laws' 67 nova ss. I have no time for my own right now and it sucks. No extra money + no extra time = no finished project.

Re: Here is my project truck

Thanks! Sorry I don't have any updated pics. Just the one in the avatar. My dad bought a GMC suburban a few months ago for parts and I installed the grille on my truck to see if I liked it. The truck fund has been low around my house do to the economy and my second child on the way.
