Re: Gear & Tire Info
I'm in the green with both of my vehicles. As most know, my vehicles spend most of their time on the road (no time or place nearby to offroad) and when I had my 35"s on my 70 K5 with 4.11 gears, I really liked that combo. With the 4.56 gears in my 69 K20, highway driving with the 35"s puts the rpms pretty high.

Re: Gear & Tire Info
My blazer when finished will have 3.42 rear // 245/45/17 tire, and the 700r4 that is in it now. If you do the math it should turn 2000 RPM at 65 MPH With a 3 speed trans it would turn about 2900 RPM.

That's the kinda thing I was trying to figure out.
Project: YFTSB - Will also have 3.42's and a 700r So I need the overall height of the rear tire info?

Re: Gear & Tire Info
Might want to edit the original post and add a couple of key items....
What is the MPH these values are for? The "Values" are engine RPM in high gear (1:1), or are these overdrive numbers?

Wasn't trying to bust balls....just looking to help update the first post in the thread a little. The site you linked to specifies that those RPM values are at 65MPH, and a 1:1 ratio (non-OD) transmission. -G

Re: Gear & Tire Info
Thanks for the link, I'm trying to figure out why my Blazer is so low geared and I'm thinking that maybe the T221 may be the low gear variety if its the same gear ratio as the 205(3:1) version. Anyone know for sure if the 221 was the 1.96 or 3.00 final gear? I have no idea what my rear gears are. Just know that at 2K rpm I can get about 30-35 mph out of it.
