Talking WTB or maybe Free (I Wish) ? Alternator Bracket for a 402BB

I need the top adjustable alternator bracket for a 402 BB. The one on the Circuit Rider the PO cut and welded something to it so it is unusable. I knew I would run into an issue at some point. Things were going along to smoothly. HELP?
Thanks in advance.

I hope you find one for free, but they are usually are not cheap unless you go aftermarket.

Re: WTB or maybe Free (I Wish) ? Alternator Bracket for a 402BB

Just a quick FYI.. There is 3 different upper alternator adj brackets for our Big Block trucks.. 68-69, 70-71 and the 72 only version.. the ones for the 70 and 71 differ from the 68-69 where they bolt on to the intake manifikd. they look like they had a piece cut off and a tab welded to them in order to use the first bolt hole on the intake, (it almost looks like a hacked part) Where as the 68-69 one had a tab cast into the intake to bolt the adj bracket to..
Sorry I do not have a picture to show the differences.. anyone else?

I was always told the upper alt bracket for big block was the same on 68-71. 72 was the only one with a difference.

How about some chrome? I'd like to sell the set for $60, but might split it up.

Re: WTB or maybe Free (I Wish) ? Alternator Bracket for a 402BB

here are a couple of picture of the differences in the upper brackets..
First one is 65 - 69...

Second one is 70, 71
(you can see where it looks like someone cut off the bolt hole.. reason is that the casting of the intake changed in 70 and no longer included the little boss that the early bracked bolted to)

Third is 72 only...

the first intake picture you can clearly see the little boss on the front of the intake.. the second one it is missing..

Thanks for the offer and it's a good price but I want to keep the engine as close to factory as I can.

I normally leave them in sets, but I would trade you an original bbc upper adj. Alt. bracket for an original bbc lower Alt. bracket/cradle if you have any of them extra to swap, you cover shipping my way and I cover shipping your way.

I would...if I could...but I can't. (I don't have one) The original bracket on my 402 has been cut and welded which makes it unuseable. Thanks for the offer. I have a couple months to find one. I may have to go with duck tape.

No problem, I was just trying to keep it as close to a free deal as I could for you. If you do not have a usable lower bracket either, I would sell you a pair of upper/lwr brackets for $85. plus actual shipping. Lmk
