Quote from their website -

How does it work? The Tornado's unique airflow dynamics creates a swirling fast-burn effect in the combustion chamber. This creates finer particles (atomized fuel), allowing better flame propagation and more complete combustion

I think for best results then you should install one under each intake valve.

It's OK, Dwayne's cool, we all went up to the NC spring meet together.

It was cool having a 67 shortbed, 69/70 longhorn, and a 71/72 longbed rolling up 85 nose to tail for two hours

Does anyone remember the 'turtles' that got glued under the intakes?

I did sent away for Sea Monkeys and they just turned into bigger lumps of starch. If Billy Mays ain`t screamin`about it I ain`t buyin`.

A friend's friend put one in his 90's era Chevy. Absolutely no difference.

Re: I wonder if this thing works at all?

I actually took a couple minutes to watch their video and look at their install instructions and here's my opinion on why this thing is retarded.

Below is a pic of a typical throttle body. As far as I know, they're completely closed at idle (or maybe cracked open only a hair, but I think it's closed.) The tornado thing installs after the air filter and MAF, but before the throttle body. So at idle it does absolutely nothing. When I drive "normally" I have to barely push down on the accelerator to get my silverado up to speed, basically, my throttle body is barely cracked open. How is this "tornado effect" going to do a damn thing when the TB is only cracked open? ASSUMING this thing *COULD* make any kind of difference in air flow, it would have to do so when the TB is at or near WOT, but if you're constantly driving around at WOT, you're wasting gas like an idiot anyway

That's my opinion on why this thing is 100% useless.

I agree. If you could get some swirl after the throttle plate, it could make some difference.

Re: I wonder if this thing works at all?

I'd also like to add, that once the air hits the throttle body plate itself, whether it's cracked open, or wide open, it seems to me that the "tornado effect" would be COMPLETELY DESTROYED!

Re: I wonder if this thing works at all?

I did try one on my '96 Silver dollar with vortec 350. I can tell anyone who reads this that the 30-day money back guarantee is good. I made use of it, and there was no quibbling. I recommend it.

Re: I wonder if this thing works at all?

Wouldn`t it slow the airflow as an obstruction and slow the flow?
